Careers across sectors impacted by Tech specifically AI

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has put fear into many who feel their job will be taken away as machines learn more each day.  In the news, we read about the concept of machines keeping humans around as pets from people such as Steve Wozniak (co-founder of Apple) which invokes concern for many.  In reality AI requires humans to help support machines in a variety of ways.  Yes, there could be job functions an employee may not have to do any longer at some point.  20 years ago, the Taxi driver had to memorize every route in New York City direction changes, alternate roads if there was traffic, etc. to bring their customer to a destination on time.  Then GPS became commercially available and apps such as Waze which uses AI to help a driver navigate the shortest path possible, improved a Cab Driver’s job.  This scenario shows the “job” or “role” still exists, however, humans are working with machines to become more efficient.

There is a responsibility of workers to adapt to this new AI roadmap which certainly requires a faster learning curve.  The Studebaker car company was once a horse carriage manufacturer.  Had they refused to adapt at that point in the early onset of automobiles, they would have been out of business.

So if you are looking into the future, what roles will exist in AI if you are not technical or have any intention of jumping into a tech career?
