Oracle Cloud FastConnect Connectivity & Everything You Need to Know About Onramps
Deciding on the right connectivity to Public or Private Cloud can be a challenge and in this Free 2023 eBook you will walk away with knowledge to apply to your architecture. If you are designing dedicated cloud interconnects, or hybrid cloud with various hyperscalers regardless of your network expertise, this eBook is for you. The Cloud Connectivity partners within the network ecosystem all have slightly different nuances with respect to their platforms and how they interconnect. Should you use private MPLS, SD WAN or public internet and what is the latency for cloud interconnects? These questions are solved in this FREE Downloaded version.
Public cloud or even hybrid cloud interconnects featured in this download specifically cover access to Amazon Web Services (AWS), Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Compute (GCP). The main on-ramp for interconnect service across these providers included in this eBook include
We cover the following technologies to consider routing traffic between Public Cloud, SaaS, Datacenters and Remote users:
MPLS to Cloud Connectivity
SDWAN access to Cloud Interconnects
Public Internet VPNs to Cloud OnRamps
ZeroTrust Connections to Cloud including for remote users
Private Layer 1&2 to Cloud & Datacenters
Wireless LTE to Cloud as backup
The Following 3rd party telco and service providers covered included in this eBook are listed in Alphabetical order. Download to learn more
ATT Netbond:
AT&T NetBond is their version for Cloud Networking providing a highly secure, private network between your VPN and the ATT switched ethernet onramps to cloud onramps.
ATT Netbond Cloud Providers Availability and limitations should be considered when looking at this service. Enterprises must weigh the best options here, such as keeping the corporate WAN as is with a new cloud node or seeking a complete remote cloud native option.
ATT Netbond Limitation:
Enterprises must have an existing ATT MPLS network to take advantage of NetBond and if they do not, establish a private VPN at deployment. This could pose difficulty for cloud-native organizations that do not rely on a traditional corporate WAN for resources.
Equinix cloud connectivity option is their native software-defined interconnect environment used for their customer to establish a quick and easy option to a cloud provider. The availability is limited to Equinix only datacenters Equinix Fabric helps cloud providers establish private connectivity between their own cloud regions and customer endpoints. It acts as the gateway connection that allows customers to move application workloads and data into the cloud quickly and securely, from wherever they are. This contributes to faster application processing and data access, and a better overall customer experience. From the cloud provider perspective, the value of Equinix Fabric is simple: the easier it is for customers to exchange workloads and data, the more cloud services they’re likely to consume.

Megaport
Megaport is not a true MPLS provider, however, their Megaport Virtual Edge (MVE) has hit the market with big success to the enterprise premise. It does require specific equipment and an internet connection to route back to OCI, so it is a clean way to reduce tech contracts and stay on one provider.
As Megaport continues to invest in its infrastructure, expect more options
Packet Fabric
PacketFabric hybrid cloud connectivity provides scalable, carrier-class hosted, and dedicated connections from hundreds of data centers to leading cloud and SaaS providers. Connect on-demand in minutes at 50Mbps to 100Gbps via our 65+Tbps global network.
Verizon Secure Cloud Interconnect
It’s a Private IP Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)-based VPN network that allows organizations of all sizes to securely and quickly connect their growing cloud ecosystem to cloud service providers that are completely separated from the public internet.
Teridion
Centralized orchestration with secure (IPSEC) connectivity. Thanks to its AI-based intelligent routing, Teridion Connect is optimized to mitigate outages and cloud congestion
Windstream
They offer direct connection which provides connectivity privately and securely to cloud on-ramps AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, Oracle and more.
Users can connect directly to your existing SD-WAN, Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) or MPLS solutions.
Zayo Cloudlink
CloudLink provides direct private connectivity using Zayo’s carrier-grade Layer-1 (Wavelengths), Layer-2 (Ethernet), or Layer-3 (IP-VPN) Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) transport services between a location and private on-ramp location, bypassing the public Internet. Connect your enterprise locations to the Cloud with speeds up to 100Gbps.
